UNB, Dhaka :A Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) mobile court sealed off a fodder cum veterinary medicine factory and fined its owner and manager Tk 3.50 lakh in the city’s Uttara area on Tuesday.A team of RAB-2 along with executive magistrate Md Helal Uddin Ahmed conducted a drive at ‘M/S Avun Poultry Feed’ at Uttara Sector-19 around 1pm, said sources at the RAB-2.During the drive, the elite force noticed that contaminated poultry feeds as well as veterinary medicines were being produced at the factory.Later, they detained factory owner AKM Sayeed Sarwar and his manager ASA Rashid. During preliminary interrogation, the arrestees revealed that they have been running the business for the last 12 years. Though they have no drug licence, they were producing high-powered antibiotic medicines using low-quality materials.
