The post wedding reception of Captain of Bangladesh National Cricket team Mushfiqur Rahim and Jannatul Kifayet Mondi was held at the Army Golf Club in the city on Saturday.
The main gate was decorated with artificial flowers and the inside became glamorous with superb lighting.
Though the party was scheduled to start at 7.30 pm but Mushfiq and Mondi arrived at the party early in the evening. They took part in the photo-session at the premises of the Club.
President of BCB Nazmul Hassan Papon, Directors of BCB, cricketers, relatives, well-wishers and journalists attended in the party.
Mondi said, “I feel lucky as I have got Mushfiqur Rahim as my husband. I am giving thank to Allah”
Mishfiqur Rahim, said to the invited persons, “Pray for us. People of Bangladesh love us. We hope that we can retain their affection.”
Nazmul Hassan Papon said, “Mushfiq is our best batsman. I think that Mushfiq is successful in cricket and he will be also successful in his married life.”
The players of Bangladesh National Cricket team could not take part in Mushfiqur’s post wedding reception party as now they are staying in Incheon of South Korea to compete in the Cricket Competition of 17th Asian Games.
Mushfiqur Rahim completed his Masters Degree in History from Jahangirnagar University while Jannatul Kifayet is studying BBA in a private university.
It may be mentioned that Mondi is sister-in-law of Mahmudullah Riyad. And Riyad is a member of Bangladesh National Cricket team. He is now brother-in-law of Mushfiqur Rahim.
Mushfiq was introduced with Mondi in a family programme of Riyad last year. Then they loved each other and completed their engagement in October last year.
