Bandar Karmachari Parishad , CBA of Chittagong Port reiterated their pledge to go ahead under the leadership of former Mayor and Chittagong City Awami League President ABM Mohiuddin Chowdhury for fulfilling their legitimate demands . The speakers at the meeting of the Karmachari Parishad called for united movement of the workers irrespective of opinions and condemned the life threat to former mayor and Bandar Rakkha Parishad convenor by the vested quarters.
The speakers in the meeting of BKP held at Bandar new market premises on Thursday with labour leader Ayar Ahmed in the chair.
The leaders in the meet demanded separate pay scale for the port workers, grant of house loan to the workers, distribution of centive bonus of 5% and double rate of the overtime work .
They also gave ultimatum to fulfill their demands by December 7 next including withdrawal of suspension order on CBA officials otherwise tougher movement will be launched including siege programs, sources said. Among others, Md. Abdullah Sarker, AKM Alauddin, , Md. Ali Minto, Shariat Ullah and CBA leaders spoke on the occasion.
