Mobile court of Chittagong Port Authority led by Executive Magistrate Md. Abul Hashem recovered illegally occupied port lands at Sadarghat area in city on Sunday.
The mobile accompanied with thana police, Ansar force and port officials during the eviction drive against illegal possessions over port land. Port sources said illegally built a truck terminal and 40 installations over capital dredging project area were evicted and recovered the land .
The present market price of the recovered land is about Tk.30 crores and the rents of these illegal installations were being realized by a section of youth front of the ruling party , sources said. During the eviction drive, Deputy Manager of CPA(Land) Zillur Rahman, Deputy Project Director of Capital Dredging Project Saiful Islam were present. The eviction driver against the illegal possession over port’s land will remain continue , Executive Magistrate sources.
