City Mayor AJM Nasiruddin said following the election manifesto, CCC are going ahead with the implementation of new projects and formulating a number of development project aimed at turning the port city into a green, clean and modern city . He said out of 1375 open dustbins, 825 already removed in the meantime and the conservancy activities are being carried out from day to midnight.
CCC in the meantime distributed 9 lakh bins across the city and 1972 conservancy workers engaged in this task. He urges the journos to imbue the city dwellers through their writings with the cleanliness of the city aimed at reality of clean city . He also mentioned about the digging of new canal from Baraipara to Karnaphuli River at a cost of Tk 1256cr and triple compensations of land given to the land owners. He also apprised about the introduction of new 100 buses in city routes from next month. City Mayor disclosed it while addressing a press meet arranged at KB Abdus Sattar Auditorium in the city this afternoon. City Mayor in his address to the journos presented an elaborated descriptions of ongoing road, culvert, bridge development across the city . He said some more time is required to complete the port connecting road .
The press meet was told that 952 KM road brought under road lighting programs and about 65,000 LED lights will be installed in 1,304 KM roads in phases . About Kazir Dewri Shishu Park , City Mayor said the land belong to Bangaldesh Army and leased out to CCC for establishing a shishu park which is renewable.
About Shishu Park of Agrabad, Mayor said a number of suits have been lodged against the park . He urges the jounos to depict the irregularities , corruptions , good side and well being before the media . Chief Executives officer, Chief Engineer, Chief Planner, Chief Education office were present in the press meet.
