Police arrested a Shibir leader in Chawk Bazar area of Chittagong city on Monday night.
The arrestee is Tauhidul Islam Tauhid, 25, general secretary of Chittagong city (north) unit of Shibir, said police.
Nazmul Hasan, additional deputy commissioner (detective branch) of Chittagong Metropolitan Police, said on information that Tauhid was planning to conduct subversive activities in the area, police conducted a drive on Chittagong College Road and arrested him.
