Chittagong Metropolitan Police (CMP) arrested Professor Ahsan Ullah, the acting chief of Jamaat-e-Islami’s Chittagong metropolitan unit, in the city early yesterday on charges of involving in sabotage activities.
SM Tanvir Arafat Additional Deputy Commissioner of Detective Branch (DB) said DB police detained Professor Ahsan Ullah from a residence of Halishahar thana at about 3 am yesterday.
Ashan Ullah, led the anti government violence during the last two months, police said.
