Entertainment Report :
Bangladesh Film Artistes’ Association (BFAA) suspended memberships of actresses Pori Moni and Eka on Saturday. The decision was taken in a meeting of
its executive committee on that day in the backdrop of separate criminal cases filed against these two actresses. The decision was announced at a press conference
held at Bangladesh Film Development Corporation on the same day.
President of the BFAA Misha Sawdagor informed the media about the suspension of memberships of the two actresses. He said, “We have suspended memberships of Pori Moni and Eka. The decision has been taken in a meeting of the executive committee of BFAA as per constitution of our association. We will take further decision regarding the matter in future. The case
of Pori Moni is embarrassing for the film industry. We do not support any crime. Besides, Pori Moni’s case is still under
judicial consideration. It is not right
to make any comment about it.”
Misha also said that the BFAA will not take any responsibility of one’s personal activities. BFAA will take action if any member is found involved in any activities that goes against the association’s constitution.
