This year the three times National Film Award winning actress Sadika Parvin Poppy has started to act in a movie titled Sona Bondhu. Already its shooting has started in different locations in Tangail.
Mahbuba Shahrin has written story of Sona Bondhu, while Jahangir Alam Sumon is giving its direction.
Poppy is acting in role of Roshni in the movie. Roshni is a daughter of a singer. DA Tayeb learned music from that singer. At one stage, DA Tayeb made a relationship with Poppy. But Poppy got married with another person. Within very short time she lost her husband and she became a widow.
While talking about the movie Poppy told this correspondent, “Earlier under Badol Khondokar’s direction I acted in a challenging role in movie Bidrohi Padma. Now I am recalling the memories of that time’s experiences while taking part in shooting of Sona Bondhu. During that time I achieved very good experiences. In Sona Bondhu, my role is also very challenging and its story is good. I am very optimistic about this movie.”
Besides Poppy, DA Tayeb and Porimoni are also acting in two important roles in Sona Bondhu.
On May 1, Poppy acted and late Abdullah Al Mamun’s directed movie titled Dui Beyaier Kirti was released across the country.
