Poppy wants to work in challenging role

Challenging roles are always playing in the mind of those actors who loves acting. Their dream sometimes comes into true while some other time not fulfilled. On the way of her acting career the three times National Film Award winner actress Poppy this time got the opportunity to act in her dream work. Noted director Shahidul Haque Khan came forward to fulfill Poppy’s dream. Poppy has finally fixed to cast in Shahidul Haque Khan’s new movie Turn this week. She will play in a duet role in the movie. One is a normal role while other is role of an activist disabled woman.
For the first time Poppy is going to act in a disabled woman’s role. While sharing her feelings to be finalised to work in a new movie in a challenging role Poppy told this correspondent, “Now I frequently get the opportunity to act in big screen but I do not show my keen interest to work because I always have been working in movies of different types of story and challenging roles. Turn is such a movie where I can act in a challenging role. Basically I had a dream to work in such type of challenging role. I am really nervous as I could perform properly in that role. I am taking necessary preparation right now in this regard.”
Poppy also informed that from January 2018 shooting of Turn will begin but who will be her co-actors yet not confirmed.
Director Shahidul Haque Khan himself wrote story of the movie. Poppy acted last released movie was Jahangir Alam Sumon’s Sonabondhu.
Poppy acted three movies – Short Cut-ey Borolok, Jibon Jontrona and Dui Bhaiyer Juddho – are waiting to release. She is also executive committee member of Bangladesh Film Actors Association now.
