National Film Award winner actress Sadika Parvin Poppy got Alokito Nari Sommanona for the first time for her contribution as a heroine. She received the award from Adv Salma Islam MP at All Community Club in the city’s Gulshan area on Saturday. In the programme, 12 women received the awards.
While sharing her feelings to received the honour Poppy told this correspondent, “Earlier I got the state honour. This time I received Alokito Nari Sommanona. I have dedicated this award to all the women of our country. I give thanks to the organizers to honour me.”
Meanwhile, Poppy has already confirmed to work in two movies. These are: Amirul Islam Shova’s Save Life and Bulbul Biswas’ Cut-Piece.
Therefore, she is taking part in shooting of Sadeque Siddiui’s movie Sahoshi Joddha against Amin Khan now.
