Today is the birthday of three times National Film Award winner actress Poppy. To pass time with family she yesterday came to Dhaka from Jessore.
She went to Jessore on September 8 to inaugurate a five-star hotel along with Riaz and Apu Biswas.
Poppy also informed that she cut a cake on first hour Sunday (her birthday) along with her parents and other members of her family. Today she will stay at home.
While talking in this regard Poppy told this correspondent, “Today I have no work. Today I will spend holiday with my family. But my fan club requested me to pass with them to celebrate my birthday. Everybody pray for me.”
Poppy has already finished shooting of Sadeque Siddiqui’s movie Sahoshi Joddha against Emon. Therefore, she also worked in role of Parboti in Arif’s movie Kathgorai Sharat Chandra against Ferdous. Within very soon she will start shooting of Shahidul Haque Khan’s two movies Juddho Shishu and Turn.
Poppy will also perform as a model in a new TV commercial which yet not confirmed.
It is noted that Poppy first acted in Shahidul Haque Khan’s play Nayok. Ilias Kanchan was her co-actor in that play. Montazur Rahman Akbar’s Kooli was her acted first movie. Omar Sani was her co-actor in that film.
Poppy performed first two TVCs were – Berger Paints and Lux.
