Pope Francis will be here on a three-day visit in November-end this year.
The visit, which has been in discussion for over a year, is likely to take
place on November 30 to December 2, a diplomatic source told UNB.
Last year, Pope Francis announced that he would ‘almost certainly’ visit India and Bangladesh in 2017.
This will be his first visit to Bangladesh at the invitation of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in last 31 years. In 1986, Pope John Paul II visited Bangladesh.
Bangladesh will show the highest respect during his visit, said the diplomatic source.
