Directorate of Environment (DOE) in Chittagong recovered 1.5 Metric ton banned polythene after conducting a raid at an illegal Polythene manufacturing factory in Razakhali area under Bakalia thana in the city Tuesday.
On secret information that owner of a Polythene manufacturing factory has produced huge contraband polythene and stored the polythene in Razakhali area, a team of DoE led by its Assistant Director Sanjukta Das Gupta conducted the drive at the factory along with high officials of DOE and recovered 1.5 metric ton of polythene. None of the owners or employees was present during the drive.
