By- election for the post of Upazila Woman Vice Chairman is going to be held at Ranisankail in Thakurgaon district on September 21.
Mentionable that the post became vacant for Woman Vice Chairman as Selina Jahan Lita was selected MP in the reserved seats for women in the 10th National Parliament.
In the present by election, there candidates are contesting . They are : Mahfuza Begum (Putul), Symbol- Kalash (Pitcher) supported by Awami League , Monira Banu, symbol football, supported by BNP and Shefali Begum, symbol- Padmaful (Lotus) and supported by Workers’ Party . The three candidates are launching their campaign but it is assumed that ultimately contest will be happened between Mahfuza and Monira, candidates of AL and BNP respectively
