A Policy Dialogue on “Unpaid Care Work: Election Manifesto Perspective” was held on Monday at Teacher-Student Centre (TSC) auditorium of Dhaka University (DU).
Action Aid Bangladesh (AAB) and Dhaka University Debating Society (DUDS) organised the programme in the afternoon as part of the Grand Finale of ‘National Debate Campaign-2018 on Unpaid Care Work’, said a press release.
State Minister for Finance and Planning Abdul Mannan was present at the programme as the chief guest. Researchers, academicians, political leaders, youth leaders and students from different universities across the country will join the event.
Rahmat Ullah, Dean of Faculty of Law, Dhaka University, Nuh Alam Lenin, Former Presidium Member, Awami League; Mujahidul Islam Selim, President, Bangladesh Communist Party, Dr. Nazneen Ahmed, Senior Research Fellow of BIDS address edthe event. Mofizur Rhaman, Professor of Mass Communication and Journalism of DU presented the keynote speech.
Farah Kabir, Country Director of Action Aid Bangladesh moderated the programme.
