A police ‘informant’ who was injured in an attack by some miscreants died at a private hospital in Uttara of the capital on Thursday night.
The deceased was identified as Aminur Rahman Momen, 24, a resident of Auchpara in Tongi and hailed from Mithapukur upazila of Rangpur district.
Sumon Bhakta, sub-inspector of Tongi Police Station, said Momen was an informant of police.
A group of miscreants stabbed Momen indiscriminately over previous enmity after taking him near a factory on Beximco Road in Tongi area on Monday, leaving him critically injured.
He was rushed to Tongi Government Hospital from where doctors referred him to Dhaka.
