Police Sub-Inspector and his wife have been accused of kidnapping children and mother in Rajshahi recently.
A probe has been formed in this regard. Investigating officer has applied to the higher authority for permission to arrest the SI and his wife. Boalia Police Station Investigation Officer of kidnapping cases Golam Mustafa has confirmed the matter. He requested do not to reveal accused name to interest of arrest.
According to the case, a housewife named Sabnam Sultana Pakhi disappeared along with her 8-year-old daughter from Shalbagan area of Rajshahi city on March last year. Housewife’s husband Abul Kalam Azad filed a case under the Women and Child Repression Prevention Act (abduction) in the Boalia Police Station in the city by a plaintiff.
