Police, on Sunday sought a five on day remand of the four accused in a case filed on charge of committing gang rape of a girl in Sreepur upazila of Gazipur on January 15. The accused came in facebook live after the gang rape.

Iqbal Hossain on Sunday fixed Tuesday for the remand hearing. Earlier, police produced them in the court. They are prime accused Sharif Hossain, 18 from Kishoreganj, Ahsan alias Hasan, 16, Imran Hasan Sujon, 19 from Mymensingh; and Sharif Uddin Mollah from Gazipur.
On Friday, police, in several drives, arrested the four accused from Gazipur and Mymensingh in a case lodged by the victim’s mother.
According to the case statement, the accused called their girl friend to go to Nayanpur under Sreepur upazila to celebrate a birthday party on January 15. At one stage of the function, the accused mixed drugs with drink and fed the victim and then raped her there.
Later, they came to facebook live confessing their crime and said, “Hello friends, we’re likely to land in jail tomorrow and will not be able to stay near our houses.”
