City detective police of CMP conducted raid in different posh residential hotels in city on Saturday afternoon.
Thana police also accompanied the DB police, sources said. During the raid, 111 male and females were detained for involving with the unsocial activities and 5 arrested on charges of drug business in the hotels.
Police sources said the raid launched from 2 pm which continued upto 6 pm and conducted raid about 100 residential hotels. Asstt Police commissioner of Detective Branch Jahangir Alam told that during the raid 62 males and 49 females were rounded up allegedly involved with unsocial activities. Besides, one held for storing 150 liters local wine, 2 held for 2 liter foreign wine, one for 6 bottles phensidyl and one for possessing 1.50kg ganza, sources said.
