A police operation has been launched in Ishwardi from Wednesday to ensure health guidelines including the use of masks to prevent corona infections. Ishwardi police have been deployed in different areas of the city since morning on the instructions of Pabna Superintendent of Police.
Police conducted raids in front of Ishwardi Police Station, Post Office Junction, Alhaj Junction, College Road and other places. At that time, more than 50 people were arrested and taken to the police station for not wearing masks.
Ishwardi Police Station Officer-in- Charge Asaduzzaman Asad said the detainees were kept at the police station for several hours and released as of today.
The detainees are being promised regular masks at this time. Even then, if someone comes out without wearing a mask, the police will be stricter against them.
Additional Superintendent of Police Firoz Kabir of Ishwardi Circle said the use of masks is mandatory when going out of the house as per government guidelines to prevent corona infection.
The district police has been closely monitoring the implementation of the matter from Pabna since Wednesday. A person without a mask will be brought under the law.
