The sixth Police Memorial Day was observed on Tuesday paying rich tribute to the martyred policemen, who sacrificed their lives while discharging their duties to maintain law and order.
DC Mohammad Shamim Alam in Kishoreganj, Senior Police Super(SP) Mashrukur Rahman Khaled Bpm (Bar), Zila Parishad Chairman Advocate Zillur Rahman, and dignified police officials placed wreaths at the Shaheed Minar in Kishoreganj Police Lines premises in the morning and observed one-minute silence to show profound respect to the martyred police personnel. Later, family members of martyred police personnel placed wreaths at the Shaheed Minar to pay tribute to their dear ones who were killed on duty.
A discussion meeting was held at Police Lines Auditorium. DC Mohammad Shamim Alam attended as Chief Guest while Sr. SP Mashrukur Rahman Khaled Bpm (Bar) president over the programme. Zila Parishad Chairman Adv Zillur Rahman, District Awami League (AL)President Adv Kamrul Ahasan Shajahan, and its General Secretary Adv M. A Afzol were attended as special guests.
