Deputy Inspector General (DIG) for Rangpur Range Devdas Bhattacharya said police and media persons should work together on mutual trust and cooperation to build a better and clean society.
“Police should go closer to the people. Works of journalists and police are similar in nature. Journalists disclose crimes exposing masks of the criminals assisting police to take legal actions to counter crimes and maintain law and order,” he said.
Devdas made these observations while addressing

militancy and drugs.
