Metropolitan thana police and city Detective police jointly conducted combing raid in drug famous den of Barisal colony in the port city on Saturday and rounded up five alleged drug peddlers from the area but no remarkable quantity of drugs were recovered from the area.
The drive enforced from 1 p m which continued upto 4 pm in association of about 100 police forces led by Deputy police commissioner(DB) Kusum Dewan. Asstt. Commissioner of city Detective police Jahangir Alam told that during their raid no drugs were found in that den bu t only five drug addicts were rounded up .
