Chittagong Bureau :Police harassment to Kamal Nath, a trader of Hazari Lane in city alleged at a press meet at Chittagong press club on April 6 last . Kamal Nath is a state witness in a yaba suit in chittagong court , sources said. Kamal Nath, a police victim presented the picture of harassment before the journos at the press meet. Businessman Kamal read out a written statement before the newsmen .The statement was told that on receipt of court notice in August, 2015 , Kamal Nath gave depositions as state witness against a alleged drug peddler Ashok Biswas. After his deposition in the said yaba case under narcotics act , alleged Ashok giving direct and indirect threat of killing him and lifting of his school going son , the written statement was told. Meanwhile this matter of threat was apprised to RAB-7 and the PP of the concerned court and they advised him to lodge a GD before theconcerned thana, he informed the journos. He also informed the journalists that after one month of his depositions before the court, he lodged a GD before theKotwali thana of CMP (GD No.935 dt.14.10.15) . The written statement said Officer In-charge Kotwali thana asked the SI Shibu Chandra as IO of the GD case . In the meantime Chittagong chief metropolitan magistrate court issued an order to SI Shibu Chandra on 1/11/15 and asked the IO to submit probe report b 12 /11/15 to court. Later, on 05/11/15 , IO Shibu Chandra handed over a report copy to him saying the report was sent to court in due time, the statement was told. The written statement further told that our Prime Minister is very much committed to eradicate the drug business from the country as such I gave depositions against a drug peddler as because I became the enemy of the said drug trader. He urged the intervention of the Prime Minister, Home Minister and the concerned authorities to save him from the harassment of the law enforcers and the drug peddler Ashok Biswas as he is passing days with utter insecurity, the press meet was told. Kamal Nath in his statement also mentioned the close intimacy of Ashok with IO Shibu Chandra .
