About 35 people, including police, were injured in an incident of throwing bricks, tear shells, bullets and baton charges at the Dakhil Madrasa ground of south Charkalibari in Mymensingh suburb. Seven people were arrested. The incident took place at 12 noon on Thursday.
Among the injured are Mymensingh Kotwali Model Police Station OC Investigation Faruk Hossain, OC Operation Wazed Ali and ten policemen and General Secretary of Chhatra Dal Central Parliament Iqbal Hossain Shyamal, Acting President of Dhaka Metropolitan BNP Habibur Rashid, Joint Secretary of Chhatra Dal Central Parliament Majedur Rahman Ruman. Editor Naimul Karim Luim, General Secretary of Mahanagar Chhatra Dal Tanvir Ahmed Robin, General Secretary of south Raihan.
Raihan Sharif Halud, general secretary of the north, and 20 Chhatra Dal leaders and activists. Several people have been detained but their identities have not been confirmed.
