UNB, Dhaka :Police on Monday morning foiled a human chain of admission seekers who arranged the programme demanding cancellation of the results of this year’s MBBS and Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) admission tests over alleged leak of question papers.A group of students under the banner of ‘Students SeekingAdmission in Public Medical Colleges’ formed a human chain in front of Jatiya Press Club in the capital around 10:30. Later, the agitated students locked into altercation with police as the law enforcers obstructed the human chain and detained six admission seekers.Earlier on Sunday, a writ petition was filed with the High Court seeking its directive on the government to cancel the admission test of MBBS and Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) for the 2015-16 session, claiming that the question papers were leaked.The detained students have been kept in police custody at Shahbagh Police Station. Mohammad Abdul Azim, officer-in-charge of the police station, confirmed the incident.Meanwhile, the agitated admission seekers along with some guardians have gathered again in the Shaheed Minar area.
