Bangladesh Police Football Club recorded a 3-1 goal over Chittagong Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited in the Marcel Bangladesh Championship League football held on Wednesday at Bir Shreshtha Shaheed Sepoy Mohammad Mostafa Kamal Stadium in the city’s Kamalapur.
In the day’s match, Komol Borua, Atiqur and Amirul Islam scored one goal each for the winners’ while Oushai Mong netted the lone goal for the losers.
Missing from the squad that went to Australia are fast bowlers Dale Steyn and Morne Morkel and batsman Rilee Rossouw, all because of injury, while left-arm spinner Tabraiz Shamsi and two back-up players, all-rounder Dwaine Pretorius and wicketkeeper Dane Vilas, were not picked.
