Five people, including a doctor and two police men, were tested COVID-19 positive on Monday.
A physician of Upazila Health Complex and two assistant sub-inspectors of Keraniganj Model Police Station tested positive for coronavirus, said Upazila Health Officer Dr Mir Mobarak Hossain.
He said they are now waiting for test reports of 107 more coronavirus suspect.
So far, 47 people have been tested positive for COVID-19 in the upazila as of Monday, said Dr Mobarak.
Meanwhile, seven more people died from coronavirus in Bangladesh as of
Sunday, taking the death toll in the country to 91.
Besides, a record number of 312 people tested positive for coronavirus during the period, taking the number of such cases in the country to 2,456.
