Jessore police, in overnight drives, detained a total of 101 people from several place in the district till Wednesday morning, a press release issued by the officer of the superintendent of police, Jessore said.
The police recovered Yaba pill and cannabis during the operations carried out across the district. 97 cases were given against the owners of motorbike riders, too, the press release added.
A number of motorbike owners told that the police have given cases against their name only to harass then to be benefited illegally ahead of the holy Eid-ul- Azha.
