Brother of local legislator of Patiya Constituency Mujibul Hoque Chowdhury has allegedly beaten a Police ASI of Patiya thana Friday night at Santir Hat area under Patiya upazila on Chittagong-Cox’sBazar Highway .
The victim ASI Zakir Hossain was on patrol duty in highway police post on that time . The matter was apprised to police high official of Patiya thana, a SI of Patiya thana Aminul Islam admitted.
The unwanted incident occurred following the long transport congestions from Shah amanat bridge to Patiya point on Friday evening and the ASI Zakir was on duty in road on that time , it is learnt.
Following the altercations with the ASI centring the congestions, MP’s brother alongwith others micilessly beaten him, eye witnesses sources said .
Mujibul Hoque Chowdhury is a brother of local MP Shamsul Hoque Chowdhury, sources said.
