bdnews24.com: Police have arrested the BNP’s student wing leader Habibur Rashid Habib early on Saturday. The general secretary of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) was arrested from the Shahjalal International airport in Dhaka, said airport police station’s OC Shah Alam. He, however, did not provide details of the charges against the student leader. JCD Office Secretary Nazmul Hasan told bdnews24.com that Habib was on his way to the US, when the police arrested him. “Police arrested Habib from the airport around 4.30 am. He was taken to the airport police station. We came to know that he was later handed over to the Detective Branch of police,” said Hasan.
