Staff Reporter :At least three persons of Bangladesh Ansar were injured in a clash with the police at Mirpur on Wednesday.The clash erupted when the Ansars blocked a busy road in the city’s Mirpur area demanding their remuneration of Tuesday’s city polls duty. Police said that the agitated Ansar men blocked the Mazar road at Technical intersection around 7:30pm to press home their demand. Vehicular movement was stopped on the road due to the agitation.Officer-in-Charge of the Darus Salam Police Station said that the clash ensued between the agitated Ansarmen and police as the latter asked the former to leave the road. He said the police fired four rounds of blank shots as the Ansar men threw brick bats at the police.The vehicular movement resumed after the agitated Ansar men left the road around 9:30pm, the OC said.
