Netrakona police administration at a press briefing here on Friday urged upon the local people not to be panicked or confused following any rumor or any false information.
Superintendent of police (SP) Netrakona Joydeb Chowdhory arranged the press briefing at his conference room following Thursday’s incident of lynching a drug addicted youth by angry mob at new town area in the district town. The youth was beaten to death by angry people while fleeing with a slit-head of a minor boy inside of a bag.
The SP informed that the slain boy was identified as Sajib,8, son of Rohis Uddin of the Katli area in the town and the killer youth was identified as Robin, 25, son of Alkas Uddin of the Katli area. The killer Robin was the neighbor of the deceased boy Sajib.
The SP said, meanwhile, two murder cases were recorded with Netrakona sader police station in connection with the incident. Police started investigation to find out the actual motive behind the incident.
