As a part of ‘Dhaka International Poets Summit 2019’ there is another programme titled ‘Poetry & Painting’ was held recently at Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy in the capital’s Segunbagicha area.
An internationally acclaimed Bangladeshi painter Maksudul Ahsan’s painting was displayed in the exhibition which reflected the poems of seven foreign poets and eight eminent Bangladeshi poets. This painting exhibition will continue till February 7.
Visiting poets from poet Ali Al-Shalah from Iraq, poet Annabel Villar from Uruguay, poet Claire Booker from Great Britain, poet Julio Pavanetti from Uruguay, poet Kama Sywor Kamanda from Congo, poet Malim Ghozali PK from Malaysia, poet Tianxin Cai from China were present on the occasion. CEO and Managing Director of IFIC Bank, M Shah Alam Sarwar graced the occasion as the chief guest.
