Renowned Bengali poet Shankha Ghosh’s wife Pratima Ghosh passed away at the age of 89 after suffering from Covid-19 just eight days after her husband’s death. Pratima Ghosh passed away at the early hours of Thursday at her own residence. The late poet’s wife died exactly eight days after her husband succumbed to the infection at the age of 90. Shankha Ghosh and his wife tested positive for Covid-19 on April 14. Pratima was born in Jalpaiguri and was classmates with Shankha Ghosh at University of Calcutta. She was also a noted writer and has published a series of books.
