Generations of the War of Liberation – Greater Chittagong organized a discussion meeting on the occasion of the death anniversary of the national poet of Bangladesh Kazi Nazrul Islam.
It was presided over by Sarfaraz Khan Chowdhury. Bedarul Alam Chowdhury Bedar, Central Co-Organizing Secretary of Sector Commanders Forum, was the keynote speaker at the meeting conducted by Noor Alam Siddiqui at the organization office at Laldighi Par on Friday.
Engineer Palash Barua, Mohammad Kamal Uddin, Dipan Das, Nurul Hossain Masud, Rajib Chand, Mostafizur Rahman Biplob, Nabi Hossain Salauddin, Imran Hossain, Engineer Yakub Munna and Bhaskar Dev, among others, took part in the discussion.
Morshed, Kohinoor Akhter, Murad Hossain, Sadian Muntasir, Engineer Anchal Chakraborty, Mishu Sen, Pradeep Das, Md. Selim, Iqbal Hossain and others were present . Bedarul , the chief guest at the meeting, said that Kazi Nazrul Islam, the poet of love, rebellion and equality, is a symbol of national awakening of Bengalis.
He did not bow down to injustice and untruth, but raised his head and sang the triumph of humanity, giving courage and inspiration to make the national awakening and liberation struggle of the Bengalis inevitable.
He will forever shine in the Bengali mind as a poet of rebellion and equality from generation to generation, a press release said.
