Poet Krishnachandra’s resident grabbed in Khulna

The resident of the renowned poet Krishna Chandra at village Senhatiin Digholia upazila of Khulna district has been grabbed by some people for a long time. Some influential people have been conducting their business by grabbing lands including the resident of the poet without any hesitation.
The mark of the resident of poet Krishna Chandra has been wiped out. Even the pond of the poet’s ancestors has also been grabbed and has been filled by the local influentials. Buildings were built upon the lands of the poet. The condition of the two temples are also deplorable. Some traders are conducting their brick-sand business by grabbing the lands of the poet. A memorial stone , set in 2008 was also in a dilapidated condition.
The son of the poet contributed the lands in memory of his late father. But those lands have also been grabbed by the influentials.
It is alleged that some dishonest persons have grabbed the lands by managing some dishonest officials of the local land office through DCR.
Several applications were submitted to the office of the deputy commissioner (DC) with a view to rescue the lands of the temples.
Sowmitra Datta, general secretary of Hindu Shamaj Kalyan Parishad said, the Hindu community expressed deep concern as some influentials have grabbed the lands of the temple and built structures.
We seek intervention of the concerned administration for immediate rescue of the lands of the temple, he added.
Krishna Chandra Mozumdar, a patriot and also a poet of human loving, was born on June 10 in 1834. His secret name was Ramkrishna Das.
A total of 15 books were published written by Krishna Chandra Mozumdar. Some of his notable poems are “Shadvabshatak”, “Mohovog” and “Kaibalyatato”.
At the eleventh hours of his life, Krishna Chandra spent miserable times, but he never back from honesty.
This remarkable poet passed away on January 13 in 1907.
