Dr. Rustom, a romantic poet of Bangladesh won the independent day award 2021 from Nigeria, for his outstanding contribution to poetry in the international stage. He wrote eleven books of poetry in English and won an impressive distinction at home and abroad. For writing extraordinary English poetry, he has won numerous awards at home and abroad. He also works on various poetry organizations around the world. Some of the poems are translated into different languages. Among the poetry books Charms of love, Love is life, Song of youth, Resonant rhymes for cheering children, Shadow of love, Dream of love have become popular among the poetry lovers throughout the world. In 2021, he was also awarded the best poet award offered by the “International Poetry Organization”. Dr. Rustom said that, English poetry was his area of interest. “I am expressing my thought and fiction of human interaction through my poetry” he said.
Dr. M Jahangir AlamRustom was awarded a Ph.D. degree in climate change from Bangladesh Agricultural University(BAU) in 2017 and served as individual consultant of LGED and World Bank.
