Forest guards of Sundarbans arrested one poacher named Faruk Faraji along with 25 kgs venison from Joymoni food godown area in Mongla Upazila in Bagerhat district on Monday morning.
In this connection Mizanur Rahman, Forester of Chandpai Forest Range in the Eastern Division of Sundarbans filed a case with Mongla PS against poacher Faruk Faraji and unidentified 3/4 others under Wild Animal Preservation Act and the arrestee was sent to jail hajat on the same day.
Gazi Motiar Rahman, Ranger of Chandpai forest range told the newsmen, acting on a secret information , forest guards raided Joymani area and recovered 25 kgs venison contained in a bag from his possession.
