Speakers in Khulna on Tuesday said implementation of the Prime Minister’s 10 special initiatives has improved the living standard of poor people.
They made the remark at a discussion on “Sheikh Hasina’s 10 Special initiatives” in ‘Bahirangon Anusthan’ (Outdoor Function) at Shaheed Hadis Park in the city organized by Bangladesh Betar with assistance of the Ministry of Information.
The programme was organized to inform the common people about the Prime Minister’s 10 special development initiatives, successes achieved and future development plans.
Khulna Regional Director of Bangladesh Betar Md. Bashir Uddin presided over the function while Deputy Inspector General of Police of Khulna Range Didar Ahmed addressed as chief guest.
Commandar of RAB-6 DIG Rafiqul Islam, Regional Engineer of Khulna Betar Bivangshu Kumar Saha addressed as special guests. Deputy Regional Director of Khulna Betar Md. Shahedul Islam delivered the welcome speech.
DIGP Didar Ahmed stressed on proper implementation of the PM’s special initiatives and informing the common people about the successes achieved to inspire them in building a middle income nation by 2021 and developed country by 2041.
Shahedul Islam narrated the PM’s 10 special schemes such as ‘Ekti Bari, Ektee Khamar’ project, Asryan Project, Digital Bangladesh, Education Assistance, Women Empowerment, Electricity for all, Social safety, Community Clinic and Mental Health, Investment Development and Environment Protection.
RAB commander Rafiqul Islam discussed the success achieved under these initiatives in alleviating poverty, improving livelihood, ensuring shelters for the homeless people, education, women empowerment, power generation, reaching health services and other sectors.
Regional Engineer of Bangladesh Betar Bivangsu Kumar Saha said Betar is campaigning about PM’s initiatives and creating awareness among people for implementing vision 2021 of the government.
Regional Director of Bangladesh Betar said that epoch-making successes achieved in education, health, agriculture, poverty alleviation, social safety-net, power generation, road communication, women development and empowerment and digitization.
