A special team of the Prime Minister’s Office has inspected the ‘Asrayan Project’ constructed in Bishwanath Upazila of Sylhet.
On Saturday morning, a four-member delegation led by Deputy Director of Asrayan Project Mohammad Jahedur Rahman visited 18 houses of the project constructed at Dandapanipur in the upazila and exchanged views with the beneficiaries. The head of the delegation warned that no negligence or irregularities and corruption would be tolerated in the project of the Prime Minister’s dream.
After the inspection, Mohammad Jahedur Rahman told that five teams have been formed from the Prime Minister’s Office after receiving media reports of defects in the houses of the shelter project.
The report will be submitted after verifying whether the expenditure has been incurred as per the construction style, quality, approved design and estimate of the houses. The quality of work on Bishwanath’s Dandapanipur project is satisfactory. However, a guard wall has been ordered around the project to prevent landslides.
