Rakib Hossain, an Assignment Officer of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina died of heart attack at his Ganobhaban quarters residence on Saturday. He was 43.
Rakib, also an assistant secretary of Awami League Central Sub-Committee, is survived by his wife, a son and a daughter as well as a host of relatives and well-wishers to mourn his death.
The first Namaz-e-Janaza of Rakib Hossain was held at the Drum Factory Ground adjacent to the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) at 10 am on Sunday.
Later, the body of Rakib Hossain was taken to his birthplace in Gopalganj for burial.
