The three-day “Prime Medical College (PMC) Cup Golf Tournament- 2018′ concluded Saturday through a colourful prize distribution ceremony at Rangpur Golf and Country Club (RGCC) ground in the outskirts of the city.
More than 100 contestants of different Golf Clubs from all over the country participated in the male, female, junior and sub-junior group of the tournament sponsored by Prime Medical College (PMC), Rangpur, a press release said.
Earlier, Rangpur Area Commander, General Officer Commanding (GOC) of 66 Infantry Division and President of RGCC Major General Md Masud Razzaque attended the launching ceremony and inaugurated the tournament as the chief guest.
In the Male Group, golfer Lieutenant Colonel Md Yusuf secured the first position while golfer Major General Md Masud Razzaque won the best gross award.
Golfer Major Ashraf became the runners-up while golfer Enamul Haque Sohel won the second best gross award.
Golfer Major Matiul became the second runner-up while golfer Lieutenant Colonel Mamun won the third best gross award.
Golfer Brigadier General Mahbub Anwar secured the maxim par award while Lieutenant Colonel Mubarak won the ‘conventional on’ award.
Golfer Md Muhit won award for making the longest drive and golfer Major Mannan secured the nearest to pin award.
In the Female Group, golfer Subah became the winner while golfer Nasrine Haque Boby won the best gross award and golfer Mrs Arina became the runners – up.
Ridin secured the first position while Midula became the runner up in Junior Group.
Saba secured the first position while Elhan became the runners-up in the Sub-Junior Group.
Acting Division Commander Brigadier General Abul Hasnat Mohammad Khairul Basher attended the concluding ceremony and distributed prizes among the winners of the tournament as the chief guest.
Chairman of Prime Sonic Group Professor Dr Akkas Ali Sarker, Director of Prime Medical College and Hospital Dr Mostafizur Rahman, military officials, participating golfers and other invited guests attended the ceremony.
