PM won’t join Nat’l Judicial Conference

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will not attend the inaugural session of the National Judicial Conference organised by the Supreme Court.
The prime minister’s office, in a letter on Dec 14, has informed thisr to the apex court, High Court Division’s Additional Registrar Md Sabbir Foyez told bdnews24.com.
The two-day conference, attended by the justices and judges of all courts, will start on Dec 24.
“The prime minister was supposed to inaugurate it. But her office informed on Dec 14 that she will not be able to attend,” Fayez said on Tuesday. The letter did not cite any reason, he added.
India’s Chief Justice TS Thakur has been invited, but he also will not be attending.
