LGRD Minister Md. Tajul Islam MP said development of Chattogram means development of the whole country and the opportunities are being increased for the development of the port city into a full fledged commercial capital of the country. Prime Minister is also sincere in this regard. Everyone should work on how to make further development of Chattogram .Local Govt, Rural Development & Cooperatives Minister Tajul Islam MP made this remarks at a discussions on’ Chattogram ‘s development and industrialization’ at World Trade Center hall in port city yesterday morning.
The minister said, Mirsarai is becoming an industrial zone. A Marine Drive road from Mirsarai to Cox’s Bazar is also proposed.
There are plans to set up a Bay terminal under Chattogram Port . Outer Ring Road has been constructed. Administrator of City Corporation Khorshed Alam sujon has done a lot of development & city infrastructure works which has given us hope of better living Minister Tajul Islam said the government has taken many plans around Bangabandhu Economic Zone in Mirsarai. Government is working to solve the water problem. The idea of extracting water from Halda is being considered to provide potable water.
