The foundation stone of “Tathya Bhaban” will be laid on the Department of Films and Publications (DFP) premises at Circuit House Road in the city today.Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is scheduled to lay the foundation stone of the “Tathya Bhaban” at a function.Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu and Prime Minister’s Media Advisor Iqbal Sobhan Chowdhury will be present at the function as special guests with Information Secretary Martuza Ahmed in the chair.The 16-storey building will have own offices of three departments under the Ministry of Information. The offices are the DFP, Department of Mass Communication and Bangladesh Film Censor Board. Besides, there will be a film library, research centre, film projection hall, auditorium and a modern digital archive, it added.The building will be constructed on 38 kathas of land at an estimated cost of Taka 60 crore.
