Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has graciously confirmed her presence as the Chief Guest at the inauguration ceremony of Convention of NRB Engineers (CONE) which is going to be held on 26th-27th February at city’s Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel.
The idea of this convention was championed by Engr. Ghulam Mohammed Alomgir, Chairman of MAX Group. He announced it in a bi-annual AABEA convention in September 2018 at New York in USA, said a press release.
Bridge2Bangladesh (B2B) is organizing the event. There are three major components of the convention, NRB Engineers, the Government and the private sector. The current government is providing B2B with unprecedented cooperation. B2B is currently working with A2i, Economic Relations Division (ERD), Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA), Cabinet Division, ICT Division, USAID, UNDP, BIDA, BEZA, High-Tech Park Authority, IEB, IDEB, AABEA and Bangladesh Innovation Forum. The Chief Adviser of the Convention is national professor Dr. Jamilur Reza Chowdhury and the keynote speech will be presented by Engr. Ghulam Mohammed Alomgir, Chairman of Max Group.
More than 100 NRB Engineers from over 13 countries are going to participate in this convention. They’ve already submitted their ideas in form of conference papers which will be presented in front of 1000+ decision makers from different government, semi government, autonomous and private organizations. The organizers expect that this convention will create a bridge between NRB Engineers and the doers from different sectors of Bangladesh in terms of developing the nation.
