UNB, Dhaka :Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Saturday expressed deep shock and sorrow at the tragic death of 107 people caused by a fatal collapse of a crane at the Grand Mosque in Mecca.”I am deeply shocked and at tears learning about the tragic demise of 107 and injury of more than 234 brethren, mostly the guests of the Almighty Allah who gathered at His house to respond His call for Hajj, caused by a fatal collapse of a crane at the Grand Mosque in Makkah,” said the Prime Minister in a condolence message sent to King of Saudi Arabia Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud.She said, that people and the government of Bangladesh joined her inCont from page 12expressing their deepest condolences and heartfelt sympathies to the King , and through him to the bereaved family members of the victims and the injured people from different countries.”May the deceased rest in eternal peace in the highest place in the paradise. We also pray for early recovery of those who were wounded. May the Almighty Allah grant the victims and their near and dear ones the fortitude and patience to bear this irreparable loss.”She also highly appreciated the timely and efficient rescue and recovery efforts undertaken by the concerned Saudi authorities immediately after the fatal incident.”I take this opportunity to express our readiness to extend any assistance during this time of need,” she said.
