PM sets rare example to give shelter to Rohingyas, says Speaker

Jatiya Sangsad Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury on Saturday said the government headed by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has set a rare example by providing shelter to Rohingyas in Bangladesh.
“The government has provided shelter and has arranged all services and planned management to ensure Rohingya’s better life,” the Speaker said as chief guest at a views exchange meeting at conference room of Deputy Commissioner (DC) on ‘Rohingya Camp Management and repatriation’ related all concern authorities of Cox’s Bazar Zila.
DC of Cox’s Bazar Md Kamal Hossain presided over the meeting. Among others, Jafor Alam MP, Saimum Sarwar Kamol, Ashekullah Rafiq, Shahin Chowdhury, were present at the meeting.
The Speaker Shirin Sharmin said we have to give importance on Rohingya supervision and local inhabitants to their peaceful coexistence.
She urged all to be more careful to maintain calm environment.
Shirin also said that the peaceful coexistence has been prevailing for a long time without any unexpected occurrence due to joint effort of local administration and local inhabitants here.
